Oregon Vintage Motorcyclists Show

Rode to the OVM meet in Corvallis Sunday. Ride was chilly there and wet and windy going back, but I had a lot of fun. Very cool bikes. Here is a shot of the crowd and weather.

I got to have my bike in the field with the other bikes. That was a lot of fun.

Here is a nice BSA from the show:

Here is a Vincent engine in a Norton featherbed frame. Very cool!

Back in the saddle again

After a leaky carb in late Fall, I put the bike up for the winter. I took it in to the local shop to get the leak fixed, and to have the cam chain tensioner tightened. They did all of that, but I am now having starting issues. I did find rust in the fuel filter, so after dumping the chunks from the gas tank, and cleaning the pet-cock, it starts a little easier, but there are still issues. I did get a battery tender which has helped battery life.

I recently bought a replacement seat cover and installed it. I think it looks nice.

Here is a shot of it before. Notice the creative taping:

And here is a shot of the new cover in place. I like the Honda lettering on the back:

The pieces in the background are the weed-eater my daughter decided to take apart. I have kept her away from the bike so far.

Here is a close up of the strap. The kit came with a new strap. Getting the hardware off the old one was tough, but I am happy with the results. I would like to replace the screws for the straps at some point.
